Talent show format Shining for Fox Turkey

Fox Turkey has ordered a local version of singing competition series Keep Your Light Shining.

The format sees a group of nine performers stand in a circle and each is given half a minute to sing a song when an overhead light shines on them. At the end of the song, the audience votes and the lowest four are put up for elimination.

It was created by Turkey-based Global Agency, which also distributes and struck the Fox deal. Local prodco 25 Film will make the Fox version, which will go out in a primetime slot in January.

Global Agency has already sold the format to ProSieben (Germany), Zhejiang TV (China), Globo (Brazil), Channel Ukraine, and JSL Global Media (Thailand).

“We have sold the show to many territories around the world and and now, we are happy to announce that the format is set to air in Turkey on Fox, one of the leading networks in the country,” said company CEO Izzet Pinto.

“I am sure that the show will be a key part of Fox’s programming schedule and I believe it will go on to thrive around the world”.
