Critical move for former Sony, Playboy exec
Tom Forman’s recently founded prodco Critical Content has recruited Christoph Pachler as executive VP and CFO.
Pachler will be Critical’s first CFO, after Forman and Andrew Marcus created the company out of what was Relativity Television.
The new recruit was EVP and CFO at Playboy for a six-year stint, ending this April. Prior to that he was CFO and SVP, operations and corporate development at Sony Pictures Television.
During his eight years at Sony he was on the board of SPT-backed prodcos Lean-M in Russia, Tuvalu in the Netherlands and Huaso in China.
At Critical he will report to CEO Tom Forman, who said. “As we continue to transform Critical Content from a US production company into a leading international content studio, we searched for a CFO with deep financial acumen, execution ability, and strategic vision.
“Christoph checks every one of these boxes and I couldn’t be more excited to have him on the team.”
