Viacom keeps up Lip Sync momentum
Viacom’s popular entertainment format Lip Sync Battle has sold to six new territories.
Season one of the original US version of the show, in which celebrities impersonate music stars, has gone to TV2 in Norway, 365 Media in Iceland, Media Works in New Zealand, SIC in Portugal, Kanal 2 in Estonia and DBS in Israel.
This takes to 15 the total number of territories to have bought the Spike show, which was one of the biggest format hits of 2015. Viacom International Media Networks sells the show.
Spike president Kevin Kay has confirmed a third season of the show, which will comprise 20 half-hours and debut later this year.
