Mondo TV to have Adventures in Duckport

Italy-based Mondo TV has acquired broadcast distribution of a new 2D-animated kids series based on characters from the Suzy’s Zoo greetings card brand.

The deal for the 52x11mins show is for all international territories, excluding North America, where LA-based creator Lawless Entertainment will handle the rights.

Adventures in Duckport counts BBC veteran Theresa Plummer-Andrews as a script editor, and will focus on a community of characters from Suzy’s Zoo, which Suzy Spafford created. It targets children aged 4-8.

A sample of the series will be showcased at MIPCOM in October.

Lawless previously produced short-form series Suzy’s Zoo – A Day with Witzy, which BabyFirstTV began playing earlier this year.
