Hat Trick’s Cohen named Pact vice chair

Hat Trick Productions’ Paul Cohen has been appointed vice chair of UK indie producers body Pact.

Cohen is group commercial director at UK indie Hat Trick and takes on the new role at Pact after Laura Mansfield moved from vice chair to chair, in the wake of Sara Geater stepping down.

Cohen has been a Pact Council Member since 2011. He said this morning: “I’m really pleased to have been elected vice chair  – and to be able to support Laura in her new role as chair – at a time when the indie sector faces both new opportunities, but also potential threats.”

Mansfield added: “[Paul’s] wealth of knowledge as Commercial Director of one of the UK’s most successful and innovative independent production groups, his global knowledge and his contribution over the last four years on Pact Council make him a superb choice. I’m very much looking forward to working with him in this capacity.”

Cohen’s term will run until December 2016.
