Disney adds on-demand services to Astro’s SVOD

Disney’s branded on-demand services have been added to the SVOD service of Astro, the Malaysian pay TV operator.

Disney Movies on Demand, ABC Studios on Demand and Disney on Demand are now all available on the Astro Plus streaming service, meaning a raft of series and movies from the studio are now available on-demand to subs.

Titles include kids series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, features such as Toy Story (pictured) and Big Hero 6 and ABC TV series including Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agnes Rozario, vice president of the content management group at Astro said: “As some Malaysians prefer the convenience of on-demand viewing of content, Astro will continue to broaden its offering, especially for those with a connected Astro box in their homes and the online and mobile space.”
