SBS, Stan partner for Tim Kring’s Dig
SBS and Stan have joined forces to acquire broadcast and subscription on-demand rights to Tim Kring’s latest US drama, Dig.
SVOD platform Stan takes first window rights soon after episodes go out on USA Network in the US following a deal with distributor Keshet International.
The 10-part show – from Keshet Broadcasting, Universal Cable Productions, The Jackal Group and Sonar Entertainment – will launch in Australia on March 6, with new content added each Friday thereafter.
SBS will then debut it on free-TV in May on SBS One, with catch-up also offered via SBS On Demand.
The show follows an FBI agent stationed in Israel who finds himself embroiled in an international conspiracy.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Stan with this fantastic drama series we’ve acquired from Keshet International,” said SBS director of TV and online content Marshall Heald.
“The partnership allows SBS to acquire premium content at the best value to audiences.”
“We are thrilled to extend our existing partnership with SBS – which already sees an extensive library of their popular TV series and world movies included in our lineup – to bring this complex and exciting series to Australian viewers first on Stan,” added Stan’s director of content, Nick Forward.
