RTL4 sees The Big Picture
Dutch-based broadcaster RTL4 has become the first network to commission a version of Israeli-created game show The Big Picture.
The show gives studio players the chance to win cash by correctly answering 12 picture-based questions from a giant screen, calling on the help of connected players using a real time app if needed.
The RTL4 commission comes after another Dutch firm, Talpa Media, acquired distribution rights to the format, which Israel’s A Cappella created.
“Although we rarely enter into partnerships on third party formats, we made an exception with A Cappella as we believe The Big Picture is such a unique connected format that’s going to change the perception of the game show,” said Maarten Meijs, managing director of Talpa Global, Talpa’s international division.
RTL4’s show launches early next year.
