Globo has a Super Star Ding Dong

Brazil’s Globo TV has acquired local rights to Banijay International format Super Star Ding Dong.

Originally from Irish prodco Vision Independent Productions for TV3, the musical game show will be remade in-house at Globo as a 13x40mins series that will launch later this year.

The Brazilian version will feature as a segment on entertainment variety show Domingão do Faustão, which has been on air since 1989.

We are continuously launching new segments, and it is always good to find creative and interesting content for Domingão, a variety show that pursues the delight of the viewer,” said Domingão do Faustão producer Jayme Praça.

Super Star Ding Dong was also commissioned in China for state broadcaster CCTV, which has recommissioned the show.
