News brief: US cable net Bounces into original comedy

African American-focused US cable net Bounce has ordered its first original comedy series, My Crazy Roommate.
The show will follow two young women, Brooke (Laila Odom) and Chole (Brittany Richards), from vastly different backgrounds who are forced to live together while seeking fame and fortune in Hollywood.
It will be produced by US indie Bent Outta Shape Productions, which also makes The Jamie Foxx Show.
Independently-owned, Atlanta-based Bounce launched in late 2011.
