Channel 4 makes factual hires
UK terrestrial Channel 4 has hired a pair of executives to its features and factual commissioning teams, and made another editor’s role permanent.
Former Channel 5 commissioning editor Ian Dunkley has been hired as commissioning editor, factual entertainment. He will report to head of factual entertainment Liam Humphreys.
He joins a team that also includes Tina Flintoff, Rich Evans and Lucy Leveugle.
Separately, Alex Menzies joins Channel 4’s features team as deputy controller, features and entertainment, and Nick Hornby has been appointed features commissioning editor on a permanent basis. Both report into head of features Gill Wilson. Menzies is a former Channel 5 and BBC commissioner.
They join as features commissioning editor Katie Boyd exits to take “a career break”, according to the channel.
