Little Airplane making TV shows with pregnancy brand What to Expect

Kids producer Little Airplane has inked a deal with the What to Expect brand and the pair will develop and launch new kids shows.

The projects will come under the What to Expect Jr. brand. It marks What to Expect’s first moves into TV.

What to Expect is the pregnancy-focused publishing brand created by author Heidi Murkoff. Her books have sold almost 40 million copies.

The first project from the new partnership is animated short-form series for preschoolers, Amazing Ace & Grace, created by Heidi and Erik Murkoff and Little Airplane’s founder and president Josh Selig.

The show follow Grace, a curious four-year old girl, her little brother Chase and her constant companion and her favourite stuffed dog, Ace, who comes to life whenever Grace gives him a hug.

“I created Amazing Ace & Grace to gently guide little ones through life’s challenging firsts, big and small – from a first visit to the dentist to a first day at preschool to a first playdate at a friend’s house or a first encounter with a new babysitter,” said Heidi Murkoff.
