Parks and Rec star Adam Scott launches TV production company
Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott has launched a TV and film production company and is working on projects with Chuck Klosterman, Jon Hamm and Adult Swim.
The former Party Down star has teamed with his wife, former Jimmy Kimmel Live! producer Naomi Scott, to launch Gettin’ Rad Productions.
The company’s first series is The Greatest Event In Television History, a series of short 15-minute specials for Time Warner-owned quirky broadcaster Adult Swim. The first special, which is a spoof of the opening sequence of long running CBS cop drama Simon & Simon, stars Mad Men’s Jon Hamm and was co-directed by Lance Bangs.
Gettin’ Rad Productions is now working on two more specials for the broadcaster.
The production company is looking to expand its television slate into comedy and reality.
It has also optioned Downtown Owl, the novel by Fargo Rock City author and New York Times journalist Chuck Klosterman. The Kitchen Sink’s Oren Uziel is attached to script the adaptation.
