The Piano’s Jane Campion heading to MIPCOM

The Piano director Jane Campion is heading to MIPCOM and will be talking to TBI about her forthcoming TV series Top of the Lake.

Campion will take part in the MIPCOM 2012 Creative Talks series of presentations hosted by TBI on Tuesday 9 October in the Grand Auditorium. She will appear alongside Top of the Lake co-creator and co-writer Gerard Lee.

Top of the Lake, which is produced by Iain Canning’s See Saw Films for the BBC, UKTV, Sundance Channel and distributed by BBC Worldwide, is a mystery drama starring Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss and Holly Hunter. It is set in New Zealand, where Campion has been filming this month.

Campion’s other film credits include An Angel at My Table and Portrait of a Lady, but Top of the Lake is her first major television series.
