All3Media closes Fake or Fortune deals

All3Media has closed a number of international sales for its BBC factual entertainment series Fake or Fortune.

The distributor has sold the 4x1hour series to Germany’s RTL, Australia’s ABC, Norway’s NRK, Canada’s TVO, Sky New Zealand, Israel’s Ananey and Sweden’s SVT. BBC Worldwide has also acquired the series for its Asian and Indian feeds of its BBC Knowledge channel.

Fake or Fortune, which is hosted by Fiona Bruce and Philip Mould, investigates secrets from the art world and looks to discover whether certain paintings are real or fake.

Maartje Horchner, head of acquisitions at All3Media International, says: “Fake or Fortune is a hugely entertaining series that will bring art to a whole new audience.”
