Bio commissions Palin reality series

AETN-owned US cable network Bio has commissioned a reality series starring Bristol Palin, the daughter of former US vice presidential candidate and Alaskan governor Sarah Palin.

The show will follow Bristol Palin as she moves from Alaska to Los Angeles with her young son Tripp. This follows her successful stint on Dancing with the Stars.

The untitled show will be produced by Associated Television International, the US production company that produces series including The World Magic Awards, reality series Masters of Illusion and police documentary series Vice Squad. The show is expected to be distributed internationally by AETN International.

“Bristol is the kind of personality that Bio is drawn to. Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years but this will be the first time she’s opening up her real life,” said David McKillop, executive vice president, programming, A&E Network and Bio.
