Zed closes MIP TV factual deals
Argentinean public broadcaster Canal Encuentro has acquired a 10 hour package of programming from factual distributor Zed, TBI has learnt.
The network, which is operated by the country’s Ministry of Education and was launched in 2005, has picked up series including Aliens of the Deep Sea and Sex Under The Sea from the French producer and distributor.
Zed also closed a number of deals at MIP TV for its documentary series Wildwives of Savannah Lane and Wild Orphans.
The 6x1hour Wildwives of Savannah Lane, which was produced by One Planet, sold to Nat Geo Wild (US), Discovery (Canada), TVE (Spain), IRIB (Iran), Vietnam Television and TVB (Hong Kong).
Meanwhile, 7x1hour Wild Orphans, which looks at saving young orphaned animals from pet trafficking or climatic disasters, sold to TV5 (Canada), Natura (Spain) and First HD TV (Russia).
