MTV commissions prank show for international nets

MTV has commissioned, Flash Prank, an original hidden camera series that will play on its networks around the world, TBIvision understands.

The 10x30mins show will be made by UK indie producer Splash Media (The Eurovision Dance Contest) and start airing this October.

It will go out on MTV’s channels in the UK and across Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Asia and Latin America.

The show was commissioned by David Booth, senior VP, content and programming for MTV International and will be executive produced by Booth, Ilya Colak-Antic and Andrea Speziale-Bagliacca for MTV International.

Booth said: “We are delighted to commission Flash Prank, a smart, slick and edgy novel format with Splash Media in creating a new innovative, hybrid entertainment show which will feature scaled up laugh-out-loud real life pranks.”
