Hot in Cleveland renewed and sold internationally
Endemol-distributed comedy series Hot in Cleveland has been renewed three episodes into its first run.
Viacom-owned US cable net TV Land has ordered a twenty-episode second season with production to start this autumn for an early 2011 bow.
The MTV produced series has also been shopped to Nine Network by Endemol.
The Australian free-to-air broadcaster has enjoyed ratings success with US comedies Two and Half Men and Big Bang Theory and will air Hot in Cleveland later this year.
Endemol is becoming increasingly involved in scripted programming and picked up the international rights to the show in June.
Cathy Payne, chief executive of Endemol Worldwide Distribution, said it would announce more international deals for the series soon.
