Shine’s Buried Life travels the world
Shine International has concluded a raft of deals for Reveille-produced hit series The Buried Life. The show, which follows four young men on a road-trip during which they are tackling a list of 100 things they’d like to do before they die, has performed well on MTV in the US.
Ahead of MIP TV Shine has sold it to Foxtel (Australia), Turner Latin America, Fox (Greece and Turkey), Globosat (Brazil), Kanal 5 (Sweden), VMMA (Belgium), MBC (Middle East) and MTV channels in Canada and Portugal.
“The format is a new spin on the bucket list and lives in its own new space, especially because the guys are helping a perfect stranger accomplish a dream every time they themselves cross an item off of their list of 100 things they’d like to do before they die,” Shine International president Chris Grant tells TBIvision.
“We’re seeing broad interest, and I think this show will work everywhere. It’s not controversial, it’s perfect for the times, and it combines a little fun with a lot of good deeds,” Grant adds.
The show goes out in a 10pm slot on MTV in the US.
Shine International started talking to buyers about the show at MIPCOM but MIP TV will be the first time it has completed episodes to show buyers.
