Natpe News: ITV takes Jeremy Kyle to the USA

UK talkshow host Jeremy Kyle is set to be launched in the United States after ITV Studios inked a deal with US distributor Debmar-Mercury.

The news comes out of trade show Natpe, which started today in Las Vegas, where Debmar-Mercury are selling the show into syndication and are in talks with US broadcasters.

The Jeremy Kyle Show USA will be coproduced and cofunded between the international arm of the British and Debmar-Mercury, which is the US TV syndication arm of producer and distributor Lionsgate, and will air in 2011. It will be sold internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The British version of the talkshow is already sold extensively internationally and ITV Studios has previously looked into ways of selling the format to broadcasters around the world.
