IAC’s Notional launches development slate
US production company Notional, which was set up by Barry Diller’s InterActive Corp and run by Collegehumor.com founder Ricky van Veen, has launched its first development slate with a raft of reality series.
The company, which was launched in August, has launched four new series and is also working on two existing series.
It is developing Ready, Set, Dance, a dance competition series that combines the web and television, gameshow You vs America, Chase The Money, a reality prank series, and dating show Love Taxi, which is distributed internationally by FremantleMedia Enterprises.
The company is also continuing to produce two series previously produced by CityLights’s former president of production Dave Noll, who is now president of TV at Notional, including The Food Network’s Chopped, which is going into its fourth season, and HGTV’s building series Don’t Sweat It, which is in production on its ninth series.
The launch of Notional’s slate comes weeks after rumours that IAC planned to fold Notional and online comedy site Collegehumor into Ben Silverman’s recently launched production company Electus.
