Lionsgate finds its reality Marbles

US producer and distributor Lionsgate has inked a deal with US indie Lost Marbles to develop and distribute a raft of reality series.

The joint venture follows the success of Lionsgate’s deal with Ish Entertainment, the production company set up by former VH1 boss Michael Hirschon that produces Paris Hilton’s Best Friend Forever format.

Lost Marbles was set up by Prison Break executive producer Marty Adelstein and former New Line TV exec Jon Kroll, who has produced reality series including Big Brother and Amish in the City. The two year deal will see the pair develop a number of reality and factual entertainment series financed and distributed internationally by Lionsgate.

The company’s first project is a gameshow that pits celebrities against contestants with disabilities in a series of challenges.
