Mio launches US series package
Mio TV, the IPTV service operated by Singaporean telco SingTel, has launched an on-demand package dedicated to US series. A raft of US shows will be offered on-demand including Gossip Girl, Lost, Prison Break and I Survived a Japanese Gameshow.
SingTel has programming deals with Disney ABC ESPN Television, Twentieth Century Fox Television and Warner Bros International Television.
Mio will divide the US series into four categories: Drama; Thriller; Crime; and Entertainment.
The Drama service will offer series including Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty. Thriller will have shows including Lost, Supernatural, Dollhouse and Fringe. The Crime line-up includes Prison Break, Cold Case and 24. Entertainment features comedies and reality series including The Bachelor and Two & A Half Men.
Customers wanting the US TV Pack will pay S$19.90 (US$13.70) per month, per pack. Older episodes of the US series are available at S$1.99 apiece.
