MIPTV 2014 news brief: MGM launching Fargo in Cannes

MGM will launch the upcoming TV version of Fargo internationally at MIPTV.
The studio’s sales arm has already presold it to Channel 4 in the UK, but will give the TV remake of the Cohen brothers’ cult 1996 movie.
The TV series is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions and will go out on the FX.
Channel 4 said it will air the series in the UK shortly after the US cable network.
The cast includes Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman.
