Lionsgate scripted exec makes Fox 21 switch

Scripted-logo-460_2190109_0414_051007_0802_madmen_castphotoLong-serving Lionsgate scripted exec Andy Richley has joined Fox 21 Television Studios.

Richley has been named senior VP of development at the 21st Century Fox-owned production business after twelve years at Lionsgate Television.

He has held an SVP role at Lionsgate Television for the past six years and before that worked at NBC in drama development.

At Fox, he will report to Fox 21 Studios president Bert Salke, developing series for cable channels and streaming services.

At Lionsgate, Richley worked on the development of Showtime’s Weeds and Nurse Jackie, AMC’s Mad Men and Epix’s Graves among others.

“Andy is someone we’ve known and have been interested in for some time,” said Salke. “His many years of work at Lionsgate speaks for itself, and given how competitive the landscape has become, we feel extremely lucky to be working with Andy.”

Fox 21 TV was established under Salke in December 2014 as Fox merged its Fox 21 and Fox Television Studios production businesses.

Deadline first reported the news of Richley’s switch.
