Formats-logo-460_2nick matherEndemol Shine UK’s central creative director, Nick Mather, is leaving the company.

Mather will depart later this year with Jamie Ormerod stepping up from head of entertainment and formats to fill his shows

Mather is in his second stint at Endemol (now Endemol Shine), rejoining in 2005 from after a period at the BBC.

Having been managing director of group prodco Remarkable he took on the centralised creative role last year.

His credits include Pointless, The Almost Impossible Game Show, 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show and Golden Balls.

Richard Johnston, CEO of Endemol Shine UK said: “He has been behind some of our most popular shows and will leave with our heartfelt thanks and best wishes for his future endeavours. We are thrilled to have Jamie stepping up; he is a passionate and innovative thinker and ideally suited to lead our Central Creative Team.”

Mather’s next move is not known. He said: “It has been a pleasure to work with some of the best creatives and programme makers in the business during my time here. I must say I’ve loved every minute of it and I will miss the team enormously but the time feels right to take on a new challenge.”
