Sony restructures management team

Sony Pictures Television has made several changes to its senior management team.

Keith-LeGoyThe changes were announced on the same day that SPT boss Steve Mosko was upped from president to chairman to cover SPT’s business in the EMEA region, Asia and Canada.

Mike Wald, executive VP, international distribution, will return to LA from London. From SPT’s Culver City base he will run TV and movie sales to free and pay TV.

Angel Orengo will move from Hong Kong to SPT’s London office and will manage the studio’s EMEA sales efforts, also as EVP, international distribution.

The Asian content sales effort will be headed by Robert Lanier, who, as senior VP, international distribution, Asia Pacific, will cover Australia, New Zealand and Japan from SPT’s Sydney office.

Based in Hong Kong, Ken Lo, SVP of international distribution, Asia-Pacific, will oversee China, India, Korea and Southeast Asia. Both Lanier and Lo will report to Wald.

Elsewhere, SPT’s Latin American sales boss, Alexander Marin, has been given additional responsibility for Canada. There are no new hires or departures as part of the management rejig.

Wald and Orengo report to SPT’s president, international distribution, Keith LeGoy (pictured), who said: “These appointments not only allow [the executives] to bring their learning and expertise to different markets, but also underscore our commitment to developing and providing opportunities for our executives who excel.”
