Discovery Networks Asia Pacific has bought Wicked Inventions and What on Earth? from London-based TCB Media Rights here at MIPTV.

Like A Shot Productions’ Wicked Inventions was produced for Viasat History and looks at the improbable history of everyday inventions such as the pocker knife, while WAGTV’s What on Earth? is a 6x60mins series for Discovery Science in the US, which attempts to solve mysteries such as the exact location of the Garden of Eden.

“To do a deal over lunch in Cannes is very old-school, isn’t it,” said TCB managing director Paul Heaney. “But it proves that nothing beats face-to-face business. Discovery Asia Pacific is a perfect match for What On Earth and Wicked Inventions.”
