News brief: Warner ups Romano to vice-chair

Warner Bros. Entertainment has promoted long-serving CFO and executive VP Ed Romano to vice-chairman.

The newly created post comes after close to five decades of service at the Burbank studio. Romano joined Warner in 1968 and was promoted to his current role 20 years ago.

“Ed is truly a Warner Bros. institution, and I am so fortunate to be able to draw upon his experience and expertise on a daily basis,” said Warner CEO and chairman Kevin Tsujihara. “He has an incredible perspective on our business and the industry as a whole, and his partnership will be invaluable as we move the company toward our goals.”
