Sky Go and Now TV to join PS4

Sky said it is preparing to launch its Sky Go on-demand service and Now TV OTT offering on PlayStation 4 consoles.

Now TV will be available on the console from the summer, with Sky Go to follow later this year.

Announcing the news, on the same day that Sky released its fiscal third quarter results, Sky’s director of Now TV, Gidon Katz said: “We added support for PlayStation 3 last year and are pleased to be able to support PlayStation 4 this summer. Now TV customers will have yet another way of streaming award-winning shows, movies and sports to their main TV screen.”

At the same time, Sky said it has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures – a move that will make it the first subscription service in the UK and Ireland to show new Paramount Pictures movies.

Under the agreement, Sky Movies customers will have exclusive access during the first pay TV window to current titles including Noah, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, as well as future releases such as Transformers: Age of Extinction.
