Former E! president Berger resurfaces at ABC

ABC has recruited Lisa Berger as its executive VP, alternative series, specials and late night. She joins the US network having previously been at E! where she was president of entertainment.

She stepped down from NBCUniversal’s Hollywood-focussed network in January.

Berger was at E! for almost a decade and in her president role oversaw all programming and development including the content coming from Ryan Seacrest Productions.

Before joining E! in 2003 she was at Fox’s production unit and prior to that spent 12 years at MTV.

At ABC she will oversee a slate of alternative shows that includes Dancing with the Stars and Shark Tank.
