Keshet appoints new CEO of Screenz

Israeli broadcaster Keshet and digital content group The Box have appointed Yuval Nathan (pictured) CEO of Screenz, the transmedia joint venture run by the two media firms.

Screenz works with broadcasters and content owners, advising on, and helping them to implement cross media strategies. With a presence in Israel, the UK and the US it has worked with partners including ITV Studios, Red Arrow and the ICM agency, developing dual screen apps and other services and products.

Nathan is a board member of Keshet and CEO of the broadcaster’s new media arm, Mako. He will relinquish the latter position to take the helm at Screenz.

Eldar Rapaport, who has been Screenz’s CEO since its foundation, will be head of Screenz Studios under the new structure, overseeing its creative and product development departments.

“We are beyond pleased to have Yuval join and lead the Screenz team. As one of the founders of Keshet’s new media arm Mako in 2008, he has made an outstanding and enduring impact on Israel’s digital entertainment market in just five years,” said Avi Nir, CEO of Keshet Media Group. “I am eager to see Screenz grow into an international force under his leadership.”
