Fox buys African series for its international lifestyle channel

Fox International Channels (FIC) has acquired an African cooking series for its lifestyle channel 24Kitchen.

The series, Tales from the Bush Larder, hails from East African pay TV and triple play provider Zuku.

It has shopped season one of the the show to FIC for the 24Kitchen channel, which is distributed in Portugal, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, the Balkans, Finland and Turkey.

The deal was brokered with the assistance of Off the Fence, the distribution company that recently inked a deal to represent Fox’s lifestyle content in international markets.

Tales from the Bush Larder is billed as a culinary tour of Kenya, explores the source unusual ingredients from the country including.

It is Zuku’s first original production and coproduced with Quite Bright Films. Zuku handles the distribution within Africa and Off the Fence in all other territories.
