Norway’s TV2 acquires Red Arrow’s Jo

Norwegian commercial broadcaster TV2 has acquired Jean Reno-fronted police drama Jo after striking a deal with Red Arrow International.

The free-to-air broadcaster becomes the latest network to acquire the series following deals with Fox International Channels, which has taken a raft of multi-territory rights, Italy’s Rai and Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1.

“We are delighted to have acquired Jo with Jean Reno. The ambition of the production is stimulating, filming in the major sites of Paris with a major international star and with international experience behind the camera. And we are proud to bring this significant Franco-European series to Norway, demonstrating again that quality is a TV2 hallmark,” says TV2´s head of acquisition John Ranelagh.

Tim Gerhartz, sales manager, Scandinavia at Red Arrow International, added: “What a track record: picked up in over 130 territories before production is even wrapped up. Jean Reno is a true crowd puller and I am delighted that Norwegian audiences can soon watch him hunting criminals in Paris.”
