RTL Germany makes first int’l move for ‘Limitless Win’

Limitless Win

RTL Germany has become the first broadcaster to order a remake of ITV entertainment format Limitless Win.

The show, to be known locally as Ohne Limit, is based on the Hello Dolly original, which was co-developed and co-produced by Mitre Studios. The prodco is run by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who host the UK series.

Endemol Shine Germany, part of Banijay Germany, will produce the new version, which will follow pairs of contestants who attempt to earn lives with a series of quick-fire questions, before taking on the ‘limitless ladder’ that provides access to an uncapped prize fund. Banijay Rights sells the format globally.

McPartlin and Donnelly described the format as “innovative, ground-breaking, nail-biting and fantastically play along.”

Endemol Shine Germany’s slate includes remakes of formats such as Celebrity Hunted, Celebrity Big Brother and All Together Now, as well as its own IP such as Masters Of Sweet and Chefs To Go.
