Discovery Italia adapts BBC format among four Casta Diva orders

C’è Ciccia with Luca Terni

Discovery Italia has picked up three new factual series, and returned a fourth, for its networks, with all shows hailing from local prodco Casta Diva.

Factual game show Questa è Casa Mia is a local adaptation of the BBC format This Is My House, with the Italian version hosted by Tommaso Zorzi.

In each episode, four contestants will have to convince a jury of celebrities – made up of Roberta Tagliavini, Stefania Orlando, Barbara Foria and Nicola Conversa – that the property belong to them –, but only one of the four will tell the truth.

The programme, which will be broadcast from 6 May on Real Time, aims “to challenge prejudices and play with the natural curiosities of the human soul.”

Trasformazioni Incredibili (aka Incredible Transformations) will debut on 16 May, also on Real Time, and features an expert panel including wedding designer and TV host Enzo Miccio, beauty expert Loretta Grace and hair stylist Alessandro Maritato.

With the help of some accomplices, unsuspecting protagonists will be brought before the three experts, who will give them a true all-round transformation.

Meanwhile, in June, Tuscan chef Luca Terni will return to Food Network with a new travelling programme dedicated to the search for the most authentic flavours of traditional Italian cuisine.

These new programmes will be joined by the second season of Fare Detailing With Marcello Mereu, the format dedicated to motoring enthusiasts on the secrets of car care. In addition to the new chapter Speciale Testarossa, available on Discovery+, there will also be a new special dedicated to the Amos, to be broadcast on Motor Trend at the end of the year.

“These new programmes that are about to hit the small screen are the result of a careful selection among the best foreign productions: fresh, original and not predictable, they will thrill the Italian audience as well.

“We are also very satisfied with the success of the original formats we created last year for which a second unreleased season is ready to start,” said Fabio Nesi and Massimo Righini, respectively CEO and CCO of Casta Diva.
