Paramount+ unveils latest UK originals, with drama duo & unscripted series
Paramount+ has unveiled it latest slate of scripted and unscripted UK original series ahead of the launch of the global streaming service in the country this summer.
The slate, which follows plans outlined last year by chief content officer for UK Ben Frow, includes The Ex-Wife, a 4 x 60-minute series based on the psychological thriller of the same name.
It follows a woman whose life is shown thrown upside down when her husband’s ex-wife won’t leave them alone and is being co-produced by Clapperboard Studios, BlackBox Multimedia and Night Train Media.
Night Train is financing and handling worldwide distribution rights, with the show written by Catherine Steadman, who will also serve as executive producer.
The other new drama is The Burning Girls, a 6 x 60-minute series based on the novel of the same name by CJ Tudor that tracks a female vicar and her daughters life in a village full of conspiracies and secrets.
