India’s Zee & TelevisaUnivision cook up Lat Am spice travelogue

Indian giant Zee Entertainment Enterprises has partnered with newly minted TelevisaUnivision to co-produce an international travelogue.

The Spice Trails: Latin America will explore the influence of spices in local cultures, economies, cuisines and traditions, attempting to unravel the origin of these spices and provide insights into the land and its people.

The 12 x 30-minute show will be produced by Zee and TelevisaUnivision, which last week launched its OTT service ViX, complete with 40,000 hours of content available via AVOD. TeleviseUnivision was created two months ago when Mexican giant Televisa completed its $4.8bn merger with Univision.

Sunita Uchil, EVP of Zee, said the show “will capture the imagination of audiences around the world, allowing them to vicariously travel and experience these exotic lands.”
