Mediawan & Laurent Zeitoun’s Good Hero forge co-pro & development partnership

L-R: Laurent Zeitoun & Gregory Ouanhon

European media group Mediawan and Death Of Stalin producer Laurent Zeitoun and Gregory Ouanhon’s creative studio Good Hero have inked a strategic partnership to co-develop and co-produce TV shows and feature films for global audiences.

The projects will be adapted from the original content slate of Good Hero, which was set up in Paris and New York by chairman and co-CCO Zeitoun and CEO Ouanhon in 2020.

The partnership is being overseen by Mediawan Pictures’ Elisabeth d’Arvieu, while Good Hero’s Kiel Murray (Cars, Raya and the Last Dragon) will supervise story development with Zeitoun and executive produce all scripted content on behalf of the studio.

Zeitoun’s most recent feature is the family adventure Fireheart (aka Vaillante), which he wrote and directed, and opened in French theatres last weekend and is currently rolling out internationally. The film is voiced by Olivia Cooke, William Shatner and Kenneth Branagh for release in English-speaking territories.

Mediawan CEO Pierre-Antoine Capton commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Laurent and Gregory and their team of visionary creatives.

“They have a unique way of telling stories and creating worlds that resonate with each and every one of us. This partnership reflects Mediawan’s DNA, which is to work with the most talented teams, empowering us all to bring great productions with an international appeal to life.”

Zeitoun added: “As a leader in global premium content Mediawan understands that the worldwide audience is craving original, high-end and entertaining content.

“We specialize in creating innovative worlds that generate multi-platform opportunities, and it’s exciting to now have Mediawan’s support and wide-reaching production and distribution capabilities to reach global audiences.”
