O4 Media, the Hong Kong-based distributor founded by former Keshet International exec Gary Pudney, has taken sales rights to a new virtual music project.
Hydeout is an entertainment and music event set both on location and in the metaverse, featuring an array of electronic, urban and hip-hop artist icons performing over 36 hours.
It is being produced by Hyde N Seek Entertainment, with on location episodes featuring artists such as DJ Snake, Sam Feldt and Flux Pavilion. Virtual environments include stars such as Rita Ora, G Eazy and Wiz Khalifa.
The project joins a growing slate of scripted and unscripted IP at O4. The company is led by Pudney, who joined KI five years ago to run its operations in Asia. His new firm has bases in London, Budapest, Manila and Mexico City. He is joined at O2 by head of sales and acquisitions, Nixon Lim.
Pudney said: “Hydeout is a very exciting project for O4 Media to be a part of. Topflight artists perform across each episode in a unique Covid resistant virtual environment, with none of the usual fun nor excitement taken away from the high energy sets.”
