Apple TV+ poaches 20th TV’s Erin May as senior creative exec

Apple TV+ has hired 20th Television’s drama development executive Erin May as a senior creative executive.

Taking up her role on Monday, May will be based at Apple TV+’s Culver City offices and report to Matt Cherniss, Apple’s head of scripted television.

She boards the streamer following more than a decade at 20th Television, which is part of Disney Television Studios, where she most recently served as VP of drama development. She joined the team six years ago as manager and was promoted to VP last year.

During her tenure, May oversaw the creative development, production and staffing on shows including Washington Black, Our Kind Of People, Dopesick, Shots Fired and Swiss Family Robinson.

Prior to 20th Television, she has held roles at Anonymous Content and Fox Networks Group.
