Pluto TV strikes BBC Studios drama deal in Europe

ViacomCBS-owned AVOD service Pluto TV has partnered with BBC studios to add three new channels of British drama content to its offering in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Spain.

Audiences will now have access to a Doctor Who channel, which in France will feature the first 10 seasons of the long-running BBC sci-fi series, along with several of its Christmas specials.

In Spain, audiences will be able to watch the show’s first nine seasons and its specials, while in Austria, viewers will have access to some of the classic episodes of the show that aired during the 1980s, as well as a new BBC Travel channel.

Pluto TV has also added a new BBC Drama channel to Austria, France and Spain, featuring a selection of BBC Studios dramas, including series such as Call The Midwife, War And Peace and Great Expectations.
