UK’s Plimsoll ups Saul Goldberg to SVP, production & development

UK-based Plimsoll Productions has promoted veteran creative exec Saul Goldberg to the position of SVP of production and development.

Goldberg, who has been leading the company’s US headquarters in Los Angeles, previously served as VP of production and development.

In his new role, the exec will continue to work closely with LA-based board member Mark Itkin – who joined the company a year ago – to broaden the company’s footprint in North American across all genres and work to tie A-list talent to its portfolio of titles.

Goldberg joined Plimsoll in 2019 and helped to win commissions for unscripted series including On The Edge With Alex Honnold for National Geographic and When Big Things Go Wrong for History, as well as several currently unannounced projects, with A-list talent attached, for Hulu, Disney+, Discovery+ and Peacock.

Recent Plimsoll launches include The Women Of 9/11 for ABC, Malika The Lion Queen for Fox and a second season of Tiny World for Apple TV+.

“A key member of Plimsoll’s creative leadership team, Saul has developed premium shows with top-tier talent to accelerate our US expansion,” commented Grant Mansfield, founder and CEO of Plimsoll Productions.

“He and Mark together make a winning combination, and I’m excited to harness their vision for further innovation and growth in the US.”
