AMCNI lines up ‘Mirage’ & ‘Narcos: Mexico’ for new Spanish linear channel

Narcos: Mexico

AMC Networks International Southern Europe (AMCNISE) is launching a new general interest pay-TV linear channel in Spain, which will air shows including French drama Mirage and the second season of Narcos: Mexico.

Selekt will be rolled out on 4 February with a line-up that includes content and formats from AMC Networks’ 11 thematic channels: AMC, Canal Hollywood, SundanceTV, Dark, Somos, Xtram, Odisea, Canal Cocina, Canal Decasa, Canal Panda and Sol Música.

Content on the schedule includes films from the Rocky franchise, as well as the exclusive premiere of the documentary series Secrets Of The Solar System and Great Barrier Reef: A Living Treasure.

Cookery show Los Fogones Tradicionales also features, alongside the Scott Brothers series Property Brothers: Forever Home and My Dream Home.

The network will be available at no additional cost for subscribers to Vodafone TV and Orange TV, with original productions and other exclusive programming in the works. Children’s content will also feature.

“In today’s dynamic media landscape, where viewers spend more time choosing what to watch, we are launching this new general-interest channel so that they can easily discover and enjoy the best of pay television. We are delighted that Vodafone TV and Orange TV, two of our key partners, are including Selekt in their offering,” said Manuel Balsera, MD of AMCNISE.
