All3Media-owned Lion TV USA CEO Tony Tackaberry is stepping down after almost two decades with the Cash Cab producer.

Tackaberry has been at the New York-based firm for 17 years but is departing to start a new venture, details of which are being kept under wraps.

His remit is being replaced by SVP of production & development Allison Corn, and SVP of development Stan Hsue.

Tackaberry worked on shows including World’s Deadliest for Nat Geo Wild and hundreds of episodes of Cash Cab for Discovery during his time at Lion US, which is an offshoot of the UK firm co-founded by Richard Bradley and Nick Catliff.

Tackaberry said: “I’m eternally grateful to Nick, Richard and everyone at Lion for giving me the chance to lead Lion US for what’s been an amazing run.

“While I’ll miss so many great colleagues, I’m really proud that I’m leaving the company in great shape and more than capable hands – Stan and Allison are wonderful friends and brilliant executives. I’m genuinely excited about the future and look forward to sharing more soon.”

Catliff, chief content officer at Lion’s UK arm, said: “Tony has been a great friend and colleague and he leaves our US business in very good health with a strong slate of new productions and in the very capable hands of Allison and Stan. We wish him well in the future.”
