Endemol Shine North America names unscripted originals SVP

Endemol Shine North America (ESNA) has named producer Michael Heyerman as its SVP of unscripted original series.

Heyerman had been a producer with the company since 2018 and had been behind shows including the US version of Lego Masters for Fox, HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and MasterChef Jr – Road To The Finale.

He was previously part of NBC’s Brain Trust development team at Universal Television, where he worked on original unscripted projects.

Endemol Shine’s North American operation has also named Shyam Balsé as VP of unscripted original series. Balsé also worked on Lego Masters for Fox, which launches shortly.

The appointments follow yesterday’s rejig at Endemol Shine’s Creative Networks team, following the exit of divisional CEO Lisa Perrin, who is joining ITV Studios.

ESG’s chief creative officer Peter Salmon will take a more hands-on management role across Creative Networks, while Endemol Shine UK director of operations James Townley and Sky exec Sarah Sedazzari have also been appointed to new roles.
