Mediaset España expands Turkish drama offering with Eccho deal

Mediaset España in Spain has picked up Turkish drama My Sweet Lie from CJ ENM-backed sales outfit Eccho Rights.

The show was produced by Turkish prodco O3 Medya for domestic network Star TV and follows the story of a father who tries to spare his daughter from any suffering and disappointment.

My Sweet Lie is the latest Turkish drama acquisition by Mediaset España in Spain, which recently acquired Everywhere I Go, produced by Red Arrow Studios-owned Karga Seven Pictures.

Spanish networks have become keen buyers of Turkish drama over the past 12 months, with 20 shows currently on air in the country. The deal for My Sweet Lie marks the eighth drama Eccho Rights has sold into Spain.
