Entertainment One sells raft of ‘Peppa Pig’ seasons into Korea

Entertainment One has sold a raft of seasons of Peppa Pig into Korean educational broadcaster EBS.

EBS has picked up the rights to seasons five, six and seven, which are premiering to audiences in South Korea this year.

EOne has also appointed EBS as the licensing agent for Peppa Pig, where it will manage consumer products for the brand.

The Korean educational broadcaster also currently holds the rights for series one to three of Peppa Pig, which it first aired in 2013, and continues to roll out alongside new episodes.

Olivier Dumont, president of family and brands for eOne, said: “The response to Peppa Pig across Asia has been amazing. It is testament to the universal appeal of series that it has secured a highly sought-after slot on the EBS schedule and we’re delighted that our Korean fans will be able to see new Peppa episodes on a network they love.

“Our new partnership with EBS will enable us to bring Peppa to the widest possible audience in South Korea and we’re excited about its potential in the region.”
