Cineflix acquires Critical Content’s ‘JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding’

Cineflix Rights has acquired the blue-chip feature doc JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding ahead of MIPTV.

The 1 x 120-minute doc begins with the top secret wedding ceremony of John F. Kennedy Jr., to Carolyn Bessette in 1996. For the first time, 20 years after the couple lost their lives in a tragic plane crash, the documentary takes viewers inside their wedding, with never-before-seen footage.

The special celebrates JFK Jr. and Carolyn’s incredible love for one another, capturing intimate moments of their clandestine wedding weekend on Cumberland Island, Georgia, including an insider’s look at everything from the joyful rehearsal dinner to the magical ceremony and intimate reception.

The deal to acquire JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding (WT) was brokered by Giuliana Benvenuto, Cineflix’s manager of acquisitions in North America.

Richard Life, head of acquisitions, Cineflix Rights said: “JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding provides viewers with a unique insight into the private lives of two scions of one of the most famous dynasties of modern times.

“With exclusive access to previously unseen footage, together with first-hand anecdotes from friends and family, Critical Content has created exactly the type of blue-chip history show that our international buyers demand, and we’re looking forward to rolling it out globally at MIPTV 2019.”
